Description

Get clinical experience and learn about global health in Guatemala! Depending on Spanish and educational level, interns may work alongside doctors and nurses, help with administrative needs, take blood pressure and vitals, shadow professionals or help prepare materials in clinics and hospitals in and around Antigua. Interns can also work with mentally and physically disabled children doing direct patient care and physical therapy. This program is great for aspiring doctors and nurses looking for exposure to medicine in a non-Western setting. Programs include housing, meals and 2 hours of Spanish class per day to ensure that interns get the most out of their experience.
